Description

Mepilexis a soft and highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac Technology layer seals the wound edges, preventing the exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration.2 The Safetac Technology layer allows the dressing to be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin or exposing the patient to additional pain.

Indications

Mepilex is intended for a wide range of exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and traumatic wounds, e.g. skin tears and secondary healing wounds. Mepilexcan be used as a protection of compromised and/or fragile skin and may also be used as part of a prophylactic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g. pressure ulcers.
